Question: Hi My names XXXXXX. Im a 23 year old female. I have a bit of an embarrassing question, but I've been worrying about it for awhile now. I seem to have a pocket right next to my bowl/anus. It also seems as though my anus and butthole area have moved away from each other. Will this fix itself or do I need to see someone? Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Please do not be embarrassed. Such problems are very common and normal thing. It would be much easier to give good answer If you attach a picture of this area.

Kind of pocket in this area can be caused by hemorrhoid, fistula or some benign lesion.
Hemorrhoids give also itching and bleeding. Blood appears on stool surface. Pain is only in case of inflammation.
Fistula is a kind of connection between rectum and skin (other than natural). It can be seen as a kind of pocket. It gives some discharge in this area. Pain can appear.

Its hard to tell about possible treatment not being able to see it. For sure, proctologist is a correct address.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
