What Causes Less Growth In A 12 Year Old Despite Having Regular Periods?
Question: Daughter is 12.6 years old. Started her period at 10.10 years old and has been extremely regular ever since. She is about 4'11", but doctor says she has only grown 1 inch in last year. She has dropped from 75th percentile to 50th percentile. She is concerned. Should I be concerned??

Percentiles are only for our reference . There is no reason to worry unless she is below 3rd percentile. Also children do keep growing till age of 19 years . As she is only 12.6 years old she still has growth potential left.
Final height of child is decided by midparental height( Rule of thumb : It's average of height of mother and father ).
