What Causes Light Brown Patches On Cheek Of A Child?

I am seeing a light brown patch on my kids cheeks.. It appeared last week.. Not sure if he got hurt.. He is 3.. It is not bothering him anyways. Any idea could it be an allergy to something?

It is not itchy.. Not even rough.. My kid is not even aware of it.. Neither is it increasing.. Attaching its pic

I have gone through the attached image. Your son seems to have a condition called melasma. It is a harmless condition that generally subsides gradually. Some simple ointments can provide relief but I would not suggest self medication. Visiting a dermatologist can be helpful in this regard.
