Brief Answer:
a picture?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

light brown can be normal or not depending on how one defines light brown. If they look whitish then they're probably not normal. If it's definitely brown then they're probably normal. A picture may help.

In any case it would be worrisome if you also have a yellow discoloration of the corneas (inside the eye) or your skin. In such a case your urine should be dark brown (like brandy). If your urine is normal and your skin is normal too, then it's unlikely that your stool are not. Stool color depends on food stains and how fast stool travel through the intestinal lumen. Lighter colors are expected with faster transit times (even green color in some cases).

I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!

I tried to send a picture, but it wouldn't go through. They don't look whitish just lighter than normal for me. My skin looks fine as do my eyes. I haven't checked my urine. I was on soft foods up until today for a tooth extraction and thought maybe that could have something to do with it?

Brief Answer:
yes it could...

Detailed Answer:
It could be the food. As for the picture you can send it directly to my email address if you want.

If all the rest are normal then it's very rare for the color to be abnormal because of a disorder.

The urine color was a deep yellow, but that was first thing this morningThe stool this morning looked like more normal color. Now that I am back on my normal diet should I give it a few days to see if it returns completely to normal? Is it ok if it goes between normal and light color? Picture attached.

Brief Answer:
yes...

Detailed Answer:
I agree with your suggestion to give it a few days because even yellow stool does not mean much in healthy individuals. Unfortunately I didn't see any picture. Please send it to my email address
