What Causes Lightheadedness After Hand Injury?

Question: I hurt my hand, (hit it in a door frame) And within minutes felt light-headed, got really hot, and felt like I was going to pass out.

I hurt my hand, not head.
It appeared to be that I was in shock, but I have never heard of that from a "minor" injury like a bruised hand. Could it have been shock? Could it be something else?

I have read your query again.

I also think on same line, how could injury to hand cause shock like symptoms.

Anyways, I am advising you to get morning blood pressure checked for three days and get ECG of heart done and send me the report.

If morning blood pressure is raised and any change in ECG (which I will tell you) present then you have to be careful.

In the meantime if you are having palpitations, nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness you must visit emergency room.

Otherwise it was just temporary and no need to worry.
