Question: Hi, I have had lightheadedness and dizziness for years along with neck pain. However yesterday I had weird neck pain along side of my neck, also an episode when I stood up I couldn't hear and had pressure in both ears and pressure in the back of my head and neck. Today had it again and feel more lightheaded. I had a sore throat for a few days but it is the only thing I can think of that is different. What could this be

I feel pretty weak and have a bit of an elevation in my heartrate

Brief Answer:
Need some more information

Detailed Answer:
Hi madam.Thanks for your query.

Deeply regret for the delay in response.

As per your description your neck symptoms are provisionally due to cervical spondylosis(compression of nerve arising from your neck) and ear symptoms could be due to vestibular insufficiency.

However, I would like to know some more information to help you better-
Does your neck pain while you nod your head - doing yes-yes movement or no-no movement?
Do you have any heaviness of chest, difficulty in breathing, nausea?
Have you ever consulted your physician about your problem in the past?If yes what was the treatment taken and outcome?
Are you diabetic, hypertensive or having any history of medical illness?
Are you on any medications currently?

Await your reply!

Brief Answer:
Labs,evaluation and examination needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again. Thanks for the quick revert.

I were to provisionally make a diagnosis of cervical spondylosis as discussed earlier.Additionally it is equally important to rule out vestibular insufficiency for dizziness(ultrasound carotid needed to rule out) plus ENT examination for ear pain and an screening ECG for chest discomfort to rule out underlying cardiac problem.
Kindly get in touch with your physician for examination and further evaluation.
