What Causes Lightheadedness, Rapid Heart Beat, Chest Tightness And Lethargy?

Question: Two weeks ago while working out with my trainer, I think I over did it and couldn't finish my session. Since then ia have experienced light headed XXXXXXX rapid heart movement while stationary, occasional slight tightness in my chest. Lethargic and a sense of weakness. I get tired easily.

The symptoms and medical history of hypertension that you describe are very concerning for exacerbation of cardiac disease. I would recommend you see your physician as soon as possible for a thorough physical examination and full cardiac assessment.

Since there is no obvious explanation for your symptoms I think this should be evaluated thoroughly.

Would limit exertion until you see your doctor. Ideally would be better to see him tomorrow.

If your symptoms get any worse before you see your doctor would recommend you go to your local ER for evaluation.
