What Causes Liquid Stool And Slight Blood In Stool?

It can be due to anal fissure or gut infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to the HCM
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Blood in stools in an infant with loose consistency and no other illness can be due to anal fissures, gut infection or in case of any cow milk ingestion due to cow milk allergy.
Stools in this age group varies widely in colour, consistency and frequency. To suggest you a definitive answer, I would like you to tell me a few things:
1. Your baby is on what feeds ? Is it exclusive breast feeds, formula feeds, cow milk or mixed feeds.
2. Have you tried to introduce any new type of feed in recent times.
3. is blood mixed with mucous in stools. And is it fresh streak of occasional blood in stool or mixed blood.
4. Is there any fever, refusal to feeds, decreased urination or any other symptom.
5. Your baby's weight and any significant past illness.
Also, continue with regular feeds to keep your baby well hydrated.
I will be waiting for your reply. Don't worry, the response will be quick.

Hi
Thanks for your reply. So, there is nothing to be worried about. I appreciate you for exclusively breast feeding your baby. Continue this till 6 months of age and then start him on complementary feeds as well.
Breast milk has two types. Fore milk which comes initially. It's more watery, and high in lactose sugar content. It quenches the thirst of baby. Then comes the hind milk which is thicker and rich in fats and proteins which fulfills his appetite. Many a times, when mother changes breast before complete emptying of the side or gives smaller and frequent feeds, Baby gets more of fore milk and thus more lactose. This gets broken down in his gut and produce more gas, leading to the problems you are facing in your child.
So,to cut the long story short. Give your baby more complete feeds from one breast before shifting the side. Also, at the same time start him on enterogermina XXXXXXX once daily. These are probiotics which replenish healthy gut flora and helps in gas problem.
Continue Advil D3and Zincovit as before.
Hopefully this will help.

Sure i will follow the diet plan you suggested.

XXXX.
