Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Loose stools are common after colonoscopy and after endoscopy/colonoscopy there may be black stools as well. As there is no other symptoms, it should resolve over next few days.
What was the indication for endoscopy and colonoscopy in you? Was it due to suspected bleeding? Even if not, endoscopies can cause some bleeding, which may appear as black stools. This is usually self-limited and passes on its own.
If it persists, then you should consult your doc.
Hope this helps.

I was awakened with severe pain in my upper abdominal area two nights in a row three months ago. No pain since. My family physician advised endoscopy and colonoscopy. Do you think this was really?
Brief Answer:
probably was required
Detailed Answer:
Your doc is in the best position to judge which investigations are required. But as it was only for 2 nights three months back, most likely these are going to be normal. Did the endoscopist tell you the report?
