What Causes Loose Motion With Green Color Vomiting?
Question: My brothers kid is 4 years old. Yesterday morning, he had loose motion 2 times. We assumed that, it was either because of heat or because of indigestion (because he didn't sleep properly the previous day). Yesterday for lunch, he didn't eat well. He just had half a bowl of food and vomitted the rest. Yesterday night, he didnt eat anything. We gave him crocin suspension, as he had fever yesterday night. Today morning for breakfast and lunch, he just had 5-6 spoons of food and half glass horlicks. We kept him well hydrated with water. Now for dinner, prior having food, he vomitted in mild green color. We gave him 1 spoon of omum water. Is this anything of concern or just acidity? Please advise.
Brief answer...given below
Detailed answer...
It appears to be a case of viral gastroenteritis or food poisioning.
There is nothing to worry as the treatment consists of taking care of hydration, fever and vomiting.
Since he vomited only once during the day,it appears that he should be all right soon.Virus effect goes away in 48-72 hours and once it happens, the kid would be all right.Till then just take care of his hydration only.
Give Crocin,if required,for the fever.
there is no need to give any medication for a single or couple of vomits.
I hope it helps however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
