Question: Loose almost mucous reddish brown stools accompanied with normal stools
Brief Answer:
hi and welcome to hcm
Detailed Answer:
In most cases this is caused by colitis which can be bacterial or pseudomembranosus. You should eat easier food, drink plenty of fluids and do stool analysis to verify exact pathogen. Try to eat more vegetables, avoid fried and fatty food. Also it would be smart to start antibiotic therapy with metrnidazole.
Other possible causes are less common and include ulcerative colitis,Crohn or other bowel disorders. If symptoms persist after these measures that I 've mentioned then so need to do colonoscopy. Wish you good health. Regards
