What Causes Loose Stools And Anal Pain After Consuming Spicy Foods?
I am 47 years old. My problem is whenever I take spicy food or food from outside, next day, I will have loose motion and pain in the motion hole. I have been consulting doctors and taking medicines, but the problem is still persisting. I had taken food from out side on 22nd and next day onwards, I started having loose motion with pain. Last three days, I have severe pain in the motion hole while sitting for a long time.
I have consulted a Doctor and he prescribed Vibact -DS and Oflomac OZ, I am taking it for the last two days, the pain has come down a little, but the motion is still loose and the motion is with puss kind of thing. Pls help me to come out of this situation.

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. The problem is with your digestion. The spicy food is putting your gastrointestinal tract in distress and so you should try and avoid spicy food. Spicy food triggers excess gastrointestinal secretions on one hand and causes absorption of water into the digestive tract, on the other. Both these effects lead to passage of loose stools. Since an infection is not involved, taking Oflomac OZ is of no use and you should refrain from the same. Additionally, you seem to have a hemorrhoidal tendency. Hemorrhoids occurs when the perianal veins (which are directly connected to the portal circulation of the liver) are engorged. When extra blood rushes into the portal circulation (liver is an organ of digestion), the perianal veins get engorged and you suffer from the pain that you describe. You need to take a fiber rich diet and also avoid spicy food.
Let me know if I could help further.

Thanks for your valuable feedback. Even after taking the medicines for the last three days, mild pain is still there. Can I complete the dosage of Vibact-DS prescribed by the doctor? Do I need to go for further investigation like endoscopy?
what are the fruits and vegetables that can be consumed. Pls advice.
You may take Daflon tablet
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. You can feel free to complete the dose of Vibact-DS. I do not think that you need to go for upper GI endoscopy. A colonoscopy could reveal presence of internal piles but that would not change the interventions. That is why I would not insist you to go for it. Rather, you can benefit from taking Tab. Daflon 500 mg 6 times daily for first 3 days and then 3 times daily for the next 4 days.
You need to take soluble fibers. Soluble fiber is found in oat XXXXXXX barley, nuts, seeds, beans, lentils, peas, and some fruits and vegetables. It is also found in psyllium, a common fiber supplement. You can feel free to take any other fruits or vegetables.
Feel free to write back.

After completing the prescribed dosage of medicines, the pain has come down but not 100% and the stool is still lose and with mucus. So I visited the same doctor. As per his advice blood tests have been done (reports attached). As everything is normal, he prescribed Tab Rifagut 400 mg and Probact for the next one week. Today is the second day, but I am not seeing any improvement in the situation. As the situation was bad, I had taken an Eldoper capsule after breakfast. Can I take the Daflon 500 mg as you advised along with the above medicines. Waiting for your valuable advise.
Thanks and rgds
