What Causes Loss Of Appetite After Having Nyquil?
Get Her To ER,
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. If you daghter has used nyquil she must be at least more than 4 years of age. age less than 12 and more than 4 also needs a paediatrician recommendation. If she is more than 12, and took half the bottle , the next question is what was the total botal size as it comes in different variations. If it was a regular 60 ml bottle she still did not overdose. As age more than 12 years may take upto 30 ml of syrup every 6 hours a days for maximum four times a day. But if she used 354 ml bottle, a 12 ounce formula then she really overdosed and needs to visit ER for monitoring.
Here is what nyquil can do in overdoses.
Dizziness
Drowsiness
GI disturbances
Dry mouth, throat, and nose
Thickening of mucus in nose or throat
Now that she has lost her appetite its mostly due to GI symptoms of nyqui. Get her to ER and have her assessed if she took more than 30 ml at a same time. Please also make sure no such incident happens in future. It is luckily nyquil this time with good and wider therapeutic index. God forbid it may be something severe with narrow therapeutic index.
Take good care of your daughter and yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
May the odds be ever in your favour.
