Prilosec
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your question.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
I presume she developed only symptoms like loss of appetite, gas and burping and no other symptoms.
The treatment given for H.pylori is correct. Sometimes individuals do not tolerate it.
Though most often they complain of diarrhea and head ache, some times they develop the symptoms you have mentioned.
Now she can take Prilosec alone for relief.
If an upper GI endoscopy was not done previously, it can be done for assessment of her symptoms.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.

Thnx. She has been taking Prilosec only for last 3 weeks. From yesterday doctor put her on probiotic mediation 2 times daily for 2 weeks.
Also I wanted to know that some doctors suggested that there is no need to treat hpylori unless there is any symptom like stomac pain etc and that lot of people develops this bacteria which is very common. But some doctors also suggested that it is important to treat it as it may turn into ulcer and ultimately into cancer. So I am very confused. Please advice.
Thanks again
