To follow up. I was put on coumadin 4 years ago for atrial fibulation. Surgery in the form of clamps and cauteration was performed to stop the bleeding. I am on coumadin currently. No brain scan was done at this time. However, I was scanned a couple years ago when I fell and broke my nose anD nothing was seen. Just don't know whether or not this arteriovenous event might occur again. Thanks

Dear Friend.
Its not like that AV malformations won't form ever.
We even don't know that where are they already lying.
As such since you are now already on anticoagulation so there is no point in excessive worrying.
Anticoagulation is also important for you as you have Atrial Fibrillation.
Carry on with the medications. Forget about AV malformation.
If you can afford then you can go for Cerebral Angiography to see for any AV malformations there .
Also you should Keep your blood pressure in strict control if its high.
If you have any further query please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
