Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Diverticulum is present in 5 % of general population. Majority of the times Diverticulum is not symptomatic. In some individual it may become symptomatic by inflammation known as diverticulitis. These are more common in colon. Depending on severity of inflammation it can cause following symptoms
1. Loose stools
2. Pain in abdomen
3. Blood in stools
4. Fever
As you are having only loose stools there is no cause for concern. It could either be due to
1. Diverticulitis
2. Antibiotic associated: prolonged intake of antibiotic can also cause antibiotic associated diarrhoea.
I would suggest you the following
1. Addition of probiotic containing lactobacillus will be helpful:It will replenish the normal flora of colon
2. Oral rehydration solution: To prevent dehydration
3. Stop antibiotic: If you are not experiencing pain in abdomen and fever, it's advisable to stop antibiotic.
4 . High fiber diet:It's very much beneficial to present active inflammation in diverticulosis.
I hope it helped
In case you require any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Take care
