Question: Hi doctor
My 4 years 6 months old son has reduced appetite since past 10 days. He is only eating fruits, milk and bread and lots of liquids. He vomits when he eats anything heavy like rajma chawal or stuffed paranthi. He is otherwise fully active and is not having any fever, constipation, diarrhoea. Please help.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

You are reporting that your son recently vomits if he is using rajma chawal (rice and beans) or stuffed parantha (Stuffed bread).

His symptoms may be related with mild gastritis probably stomach flu. In such cases the child can not use heavy foods but well tolerates other foods.

You can use Plastigen B. Continue with liquid foods.

If his symptoms continue more than 3 weeks than you should perform food allergy or intolerance tests to your son.

Hope it was helpful to you.
