What Causes Low Blood Platelets And Blood Vessel Disorders?
Question: Hello,
I have been bruising easily lately but didn't pay much mind because I'm a little clumsy. However, in the past couple of days I have noticed that a few of the bruises that appeared to have healed seem to have returned. I've never heard of this and it has never happened to me before and I find it rather disconcerting. Can you please let me know what this could be or if it is normal? By the way, I am of medium dark complexion.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
Bruises on body occur commonly due to trauma.
Other causes include low platelets, coagulation disorders and vessel wall disorders.
I suggest you a couple of investigations which will determine the probable cause of bruising.
These investigations are: Prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time, INR, platelet count and platelet morphology on peripheral smear.
Please post the results of these investigations for interpretation.
