What Causes Low Body Temperature?
Question: My body temperature constantly shows around 97.8 sometimes 97.5 it doesn't go more than 98.3, is it thyroid related? Do i see a doc?

Hypothyroidism may be associated with hypothermia(feeling cold).
Often hypothyroid patient does not show normal diurnal variation of temperature.
Decrease in blood flow to the tissues & the reduction in cutaneous circulation is responsible for the coolness of the skin .
It will be prudent to undergo Thyroid function tests like T3,T4 & TSH before visiting a doctor.
