What Causes Low Libido, Depression And Low Estrogen Levels?
Question: Hi, I have had some investigation done about my low libido and depression and would like a second opinion. I am a 55 year old male. I have blood tests done, see attached results. The doctor has said my estrogen levels are below normal and this could cause problems with osteoporosis. He has prescribed testogel 50mg which may help with libido and also cause an increase in estrogen levels. I haven't yet started to use it yet. I am concerned what would happen if I discontinued the use of the gel if it caused unpleasant side effects. Would my existing testosterone levels reestablish to their existing levels or could I permanently switch off my bodies ability to generate it's own testosterone.
