Question : In the last month my potassium dropped to 3.3. I have been on tenoretc 50/25 mg for a year and half could this be causing the drop? I'm also taking ranitidine 150 mg each night before bed.

Brief Answer:
yes it could

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

diuretics are one of the commonest causes of low potassium. Tenoretic contains a beta-blocker and a diuretic, so it is possible. Ranitidine is not very likely to cause such a symptom. Eating more bananas and tomatoes may help a bit. You should contact your doctor for instructions about tenoretic though. I usually stop diuretics to patients with electrolyte disorders.

If you get symptoms like muscle weakness then visiting the ER immediately would be recommended.

I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
