Welcome to HCM...

Please mention any change in appetite, digestion or recent change in food habits? Time of pain?

Any past surgery? any acidity?

this could be related to small gut infection or gastric/duodenal ulceration...

I had a hysterectomy almost 2 years ago. I'm allergic to wheat so I have been eating gluten free. The pains happen all throughout the day no set times.

Brief Answer:
could well be related to duodenal pathology

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the information!

Please stick to the prescribed gluten-free diet; get an absolute eosinophil count done along with routine stool examination and in future you may require upper G.I endoscopy with or without biopsy.

Please revert back to us or see your gastro-enterologist; he or she must know the line of management and related drugs/modifications if needed!

I don't have a prescribed gluten free diet, I chose to go gluten free because wheat makes me sick if I eat to much of it. I don't have a gastro-enterologist doctor.

Brief Answer:
Well, here are some gluten-free diets; please try them!

Detailed Answer:
Many healthy and delicious foods are naturally gluten-free:

Beans, seeds and nuts in their natural, unprocessed form
Fresh eggs
Fresh meats, fish and poultry (not breaded, batter-coated or marinated)
Fruits and vegetables
Most dairy products
It's important to make sure that they are not processed or mixed with gluten-containing grains, additives or preservatives. Many grains and starches can be part of a gluten-free diet, such as:

Amaranth
Arrowroot
Buckwheat
Corn and cornmeal
Flax
Gluten-free flours (rice, soy, corn, potato, bean)
Hominy (corn)
Millet
Quinoa
Rice
Sorghum
Soy
Tapioca
Teff
Always avoid

..........................................................................................

Avoid all food and drinks containing:

Barley (malt, malt flavoring and malt vinegar are usually made from barley)
Rye
Triticale (a cross between wheat and rye)
Wheat

all the best; wishing you good health!
