What Causes Lower Back Pain, Blood In Urine And Abdominal Bloating?
Information
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Lower back ache and blood in the urine could be a urinary tract infection or stones. Stomach bloating can be a problem anywhere in the intestinal tract including from stomach irritation from medications. If a stomach ulcer bleeds, the blood will show up in the stool (as black and tarry or XXXXXXX blood) rather than showing up in the urine.
It's possible you have 2 things going on, although some people with problems in the urinary tract do report upper abdominal symptoms. If you also have nausea, fever, or chills, it can be an infection in the kidney.
I advise that you go into an urgent care clinic tonight and get an exam and a urinalysis done. If the "dipstick" quick urine test indicates a possible infection, make sure the specimen is sent for a full culture and sensitivity test (even though they will usually start you on an antibiotic if it looks positive). This is important to do so that if there is an infection and the antibiotics they give you isn't clearing it, you will know in a couple of days what antibiotics would work better (the sensitivity test).
Hope I have answered your query.
