What Causes Lower Back Pain?
Question: hi doc,I am a 33 year old female and i have lower back pain. i have done my MRI, bone density test, D3 and B12 tests. Now i have been asked to take uprise and Gemfos tablet for a year on a weekly basis.
please confirm if there are any side effects of Gemfos

Irritation of the food pipe (oesophagus) is common side effect of taking bisphosphonate tablets.
Other Side effect common with Bisphosphonates [Gemfos] include,
Fever and flu like symptoms are more common when you have the bisphosphonate.
Changes in your bowel movements (constipation or diarrhoea) that usually only last for a few days – it is important to drink plenty of fluids (6 to 8 glasses a day).

Gemfos will make abnormal strong bones which may lead to transverse fracture later on.
As adverse reaction outnumber good effects.
You can take calcium ,vit d , Calcitonin nasal spray to strengthen your bone.
