What Causes Lowering Of Diastolic Pressure And Fatigue In Legs?
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
It is a very common phenomenon in old age where diastolic blood pressure tends to hover around lower levels. This happens because of stiffness of arteries.Healthy arteries are flexible and blood flows through them smoothly.Stiff arteries loose this flexibility and this results in low diastolic blood pressure.
There is nothing to worry regarding this because you don't have any symptoms
In case you develop symptoms of dizziness lightheadedness or fainting, then you would need medical intervention, otherwise nothing is to be done.
Unfortunately nothing can be done to increase your diastolic blood pressure which doesn't raise your systolic blood pressure.
As far as fatigue is concerned,I would advise you to get blood levels of iron, hemoglobin,VIT B12,VIT D,calcium and serum electrolytes done to know the exact cause.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
