Question: Hi, I have a lump above my belly bottom all the way to the center of my rib cage. It does hurt but fell bloated all the time. What is it? I have it for a couple of months. Today, I notice a lump on my left side of the stomach. I thought it was a pimpole but is fell like the size of a small lemon and the skin looks all bruise? Is it related?

Brief Answer:
Epigastric Hernia or Divarication of recti / ? insect bite or trauma

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male / 41 no medical insurance - lump above the belly button up to center of rib-cage - no pain by feels bloated - Whats to know what it is - today - small lemon size lump with bruised skin as seen in the picture on left side of the abdomen - - Wants to know whether related.

From the history you have provided, the lump in the center is either an epigastric hernia or just divarication of the recti (muscles strips near the center) where the communicating tissue gets loosened up and allows the bulge to be seen.

The bruised skin looks either to be due to an insect bite or a trauma or a boil and not related to the central lump.

I hope this answer helps, please feel to give more details or ask for more if you need or if you feel there is a gap-of-communication. I would be happy to assist you more.
