What Causes Lump In The Throat Below The Adam's Apple?

Question: Hi. I have pain and it feels like a lump when i tilt my head back under my adam's apple. It is sore to touch but not when i swallow. Very worried about throat cancer. I did have tonsilitis last week but my doctor said it had cleared up but woke up this morning with pain. I wear a singlet when i sleep and did notice that it was sort of around the bottom of my neck when i woke up. Any help or ideas would be great

HI Sir,
I have gone through your question and it suggests that most probably you may not be suffering from the throat cancer.

But to reach the near diagnosis, I would like to suggest that you may go for
1. USG of the neck to rule out the thyroid disease or any inflammatory disease of the neck.
2. Oral and laryngoscopic examination of the throat to rule out the throat disease.

Above mentioned investigations are absolutely necessary for the further management.

Hi. My doctor said it does'nt seem like throat or thyroid cancer but i will be doing a ultrasound on my neck tomorrow but im still freaking out.Hi. I had the ultrasound today and very worried. The lady said the lump is not really normal but she doesnt think its cancerous. But she did say there were other lumps in my neck so im very scard at the moment.
