Question: I currently have a swollen lymph node near my collarbone on the left side that causes pain. I am also anemic, have light periods and 2 liver hemangeomas. Could I possibly have lymphoma?

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be a lymphoma!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for contacting us at healthcare magic.

This is unlikely to be a lymphoma as lymphoma often occurs with other constitutional symptoms- Weight loss, nocturnal fevers, loss of appetite, fatigue. Without these, it is unlikely. Furthermore, swollen lymph nodes in lymphoma are often very big, painless and multiple. If you have had a full blood count, share with me as well.

I will recommend you stay calm. Communicate the results of this ultrasound with me for more insights and guidance. I must stress that hemangiomas cannot become cancerous. Likewise, lymphogiomas do not constitute a risk factor for lymphomas.

I hope this helps and guides. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up if there are any unanswered worries. Above all, keep me updated with your progress.

I will not have the ultrasound results until next week or an updated blood panel. I do experience fatigue but I work a lot. Thank you for responding. One other question is anemia correlated to swollen lymph nodes?

Brief Answer:
Can you upload the full blood count for review?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Can you kindly upload this full blood count for review? Strictly speaking, swollen lymph nodes do not explain anaemia but there are disease conditions in which swollen lymph node can coexist with anemia.

I wish you well.
