What Causes Menstrual Irregularities Post Discontinuation Of Depo-Provera?

Question: I've been on deposit for two years now. However I miss calculated the weeks this time because of s vacation I went on. I have not had pe period in almost two years either. I've missed my shot six weeks ago. So decided to wait until I get my cycle and then get the shot once it finished. I had a gush of blood three weeks ago that lasted a minute. I still haven't had my cycle. I've taken two pregnancy test that have come back negative. Could it just be because of the depo I'm not getting my cycle? I have been in abdominal discomfort as well.

It is possible to have few irregular cycles when you come off depot. It is absolutely normal.

Gush of blood you experienced3 weeks back was your periods and nothing else.

Abdominal discomfort could be due to ovulation( egg release) or next periods.
