Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,

Do you also have any abdominal or chest pain? Any past history of gastritis or peptic ulcer disease?

The commonest cause of sour taste in the mouth is gastro esophagal reflux disease (RGO).

When stomach fluid happens to run back to the mouth, the taste of saliva is perceived as sour.

You can consut your doctor for a clinical review and a simple pH test (check for acidity).

If confirmed , treatment is simple by elevating your bed, avoiding caffeine (chocolates and coffee) and taking drugs like Omeprazole (or other proton pump inhibitors) for a week or two. Avoid food that irritate stomach like pepper and spices. eat regularly and in small quantities.

Kind regards,
