default
Posted on Tue, 12 May 2015
Question: Hi there,
I have been having a metalic taste in my mouth and nausea for last few months on and off ( not together) a very low libido for about the last year, I'm 40 and figured was just my age. But on weekend had my first migraine.. Ended up in ER as worse pain ever. Then 2 days later I now have lower abdominal pain and left work early. Really sharp like I was being stabbed totally out the blue. Collegue said he had same symtoms migraine/nausea then passed a kidney stone next day... Any ideas? He also has kidney diese and has now given me a scare as he has dialysis

Many thanks for any advise

Brief Answer:
Get blood tests done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Metallic taste, loss of libido and new head and abdominal pain should be assessed.

Kidney disease is an option, but not necessarily that bad as your colleague.

There's need for total blood count test, kidneys and liver function tests and abdominal ultrasound in order to diagnose correctly your condition.

I suggest you to discuss with your primary care Doctor the possibility of having those tests done.

Treatment depends on the cause of your concerns.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
