What Causes Mild Depersonalization After Anxiety Attacks?
Question: i feel i have mild depersonalization afer an anxiety, how to cure this
Brief Answer:
treat anxiety properly & do deep breathing
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Mild depresonalization is commonly seen during and even after the anxiety disorder. Once the anxiety is completely controlled- it goes away on its own.
Usually nothing much needs to be done for depersonalization itself- treatment of anxiety is the main managment.
You can go for more lifestyle changes and also start doing some deep relaxed breathing for 20min atleast twice a day. This process will be quite helpful. The time taken for exhalation should be twice the inhalation.
Even moderate exercise and running can be good.
Try to be busy and dont give much thought to the feeling of depersonalization.

i dont have anxiety anymore, but i get scared and panic cause of this deersonalization,4days ago i was worse
is it going away?
is it going away?
Brief Answer:
first, the intensity of severity of episode reduce
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
When a symptom reduces- it does so by either-
1. reduction in its intensity first.. ie. The episodes are less severe but can be of same duration as earlier.
2. .then slowly within gap of few days or some weeks- the duration of the episode lessen...
3. And then, the gap between the two episodes lengthens...i.e. increase in number of days passed between two episodes...
so, if the duration of normality is increasing between the episodes of depersonalization....or the episodes are less severe now compared to previous...you can say that the symptom is also wanning...
Please assess this problem according to the above given points and you can yourself judge ( the history given in the query is not sufficinet that I can guide you correctly).
Good luck and best wishes for early recovery.

i communicate quite well with people ,but then i read stuff on,the internet and get scared,
Brief Answer:
stay away from net...discuss with doctors
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It is common with almost all illness that when people read about it on net they get really and inappropriately discouraged or worried...please dont do this to your self.
Internet is a good medium of education but definitely not for human illnesses. The net will give all the symptoms and tell even the worst case scenarios...which might just happen to only 0.1% of total all the people suffering from that illness...so, the rare or uncommon possibilities are also mentioned..but they are almost never seen practically in clinics.
I always try to educate people that its ok if you read on net about your condition or drugs used but try just to take the information casually and if something disturbs you, then please clarify with the treating team rather than quacks or friends...
. The practice of medicine is far more beyond words given in medical books..we learn with each case seen . Human body or mind can't be understood with just reading.
so, for now you should just stop reading on net and calrify doubts with a speacilaist.
Moreover, many times just few symptoms are present in an individual and not all of the particular syndrome- so, even two depressives disorder patients can be very different from each other.
So, net should be a complete No No...okay!
Good luck and wish you speedy recovery.
