What Causes Mild Pain In Mid-right Abdomen Every Morning?
Need to know more on your medical data as following...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concern.
Before running into conclusions, I'd like to know more about the pain you are feeling:
- is the pain present only when you wake up or all the time?
- do you change positions when sleeping? or do you sleep only on the right side?
- are you also having other problems like : burning/pain during urination? difficulty when breathing? diabetes? high blood pressure issues?
- is it hot or cold when you live? if hot, do you sweat a lot?
The idea is to rule out other organic issues first before determining muscular-skeletal origin of the pain you are having.
Looking forward to have the requested data in for further help.

2.Really nly when I wake up and I am still lying down.
3. I alwasy lye on my side, mostly right side- I find it hard to sleep on my back so I am 95% ofthe time lying on my side.
4. No buring pain before or durng urination, I dont notcie any difficulty breathing only when I exercise and get short of breath- I am over weight.. No diabetes and blood pressure is normally within the normal ranges.
Sometimes it does rise to 186/90 with a 90bpm when stressed but mostlt blood pressue is around 120/80 with a pulse of about 79-86 bpm.
5.very hot at the moment in Australian so we sleep with the air con on mostly... I sweat when I am outdoors but I am mostly in the aircon and sweat a little when outside.
I have had a cest x ray- all clear, blood tests that seem all ok with a slightly rasied liver count that is due to fatty liver (this has been confirmed).. I do have slight scoliosis.
I have also had some fluttering in my throat at night recenlty (2 months now) but I have been to two gp's who both say it is stress.
Other than that I am in resonable health but I do ned to lose around 15-20kg and I have started to try to do this recently.
Thank you.
Should exclude following problems before confirming muscular skeletal pain.
Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,
1. Once again, after reviewing your data, and if all your vital parameters are within normal range, I can say that the pain you are feeling is of skeletal-muscular in origin.
Keeping the air-con on all the night long is causing fibromyalgia (muscle pain) due to muscular contraction from the cold.
2. Fluttering in your throat at night might be related to problems with stomach hyperacidity (e.g. gastritis, acid reflux). A thorough ENT examination is recommended to rule out throat infection. If everything is ok, then, should get your stomach checked by the gastroenterologist and upper endoscopy for proper diagnosis.
If still everything is ok, then, we can say it is from stress.
3. Being overweight is also another factor for the pain you feel on the right side due to excess body mass putting pressure on this side all night long resulting in pain.
Once you will lose some weight and try to put air con off during the night, all these measures will help reduce the pain.
Can discuss this further with your doctor.
All the best my dear!
