What Causes Mild Swelling In The Vagina After Injury?

Question: My wife was in a cycling accident and has a rock hard area near her vagina. How should she treat it?

Usually hard area after trauma of an accident are due to collection and organizing of blood underneath of skin or hematoma .

Please let me know -

Is this area reddish to blue color ?
Does she have pain?
What is the size of these hard area?
How many times the accident have happened ?

If it is a small hematoma than it'll pass by itself because body reabsorb it .

If it is a large hematoma, it can be dangerous since it places pressure on the blood vessels and can thus obstruct blood flow.
Though seeing your doctor is best.

The area is not discolored. It is about three inches long and about a half in wide and very hard. It happened once about a week ago. She did have trouble sitting and moving at first but that has gotten better. She says that the swelling seems to be going down
