Brief Answer:
I do'not feel this is dental related.
Detailed Answer:
Hello there,
Welcome to XXXXXXX Forum,
Presence of minty taste in your mouth cannot be related with the
root canal treated tooth on which porcelain crown is placed. Still, i will suggest you to get a full mouth scaling and polishing done.
There could be presence of typical symptoms of GERD (gasterointestinal reflux disease),
acid reflux, another possible cause can be beginning of diabetes, other common causes are
sinus infection, flu,
common cold, strept throat, dry mouth.
I would suggest you to consult a PHYSICIAN before consulting the
dentist. Get a complete examination and evaluation, get your blood sugar level examined, so that the exact cause can be ruled out.
At home follow the following measures;
-Take a
multivitamin pill daily for one month and observe for any change.
-Maintain a good
oral hygiene, use soft toothbrush and hypoallergenic
toothpaste.
-Avoid spicy and reserved food items.
-Take plenty of fruits and veggies in the diet.
-Take warm soups in the diet.
-Drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated.
This will surely subside your condition.
Take care!
Dr Qazi Ammara.
