What Causes Missed Period Along With Negative UPT?

Please advise.
Repeat test after one week
Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxx, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy, hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactinemia, polycystic ovarian disease or due excessive stress or exertion.
If urine pregnancy test is negative after 1 week of missed expected periods, the chances of pregnancy are quite low. However, sometimes the ovulation is delayed, hence the conception is delayed and the urine pregnancy tests comes positive a bit delayed. Moreover, you had intercourse on 12 th and 14 th day of your cycle, which are highly fertile days.
Periods may also be delayed if you are taking any progesterone medication.
I would suggest you to wait for another one week, if periods don't come then repeat the urine pregnancy test.
