What Causes Missed Period While Taking Duphaston?

Question: Hello doctor we are trying for a baby I got married 1 year ago we planned for a child. Doctor prescribed me fertyl 50mg tablet from 2nd day of menstruation cycle after follicle study she wrote duphaston tablets from 13th day onwards. She told me to use those tablets till missed period. I didn't get my period in this month I did home pregnancy test but it was negative what does it mean. My last menstruation cycle is on XXXXXXX 24th till today I didn't get my period but home pregnancy test is negative please tell me what does it mean and what to do I am using duphaston tablets till today as my doctor told me to continue

Hi,

I understand your concerns about Duphaston use.

You will not get periods as long as you are on Duphaston. It si advisable to stop Duphaston if you wish to get your periods back.

If you were pregnant, Duphaston would have helped for growth of the baby. Since pregnancy test is negative it is better to stop Duphaston wait for periods.

Brown color mucous secretion is seen from yesterday doctor told me to use duphaston tablets till coming Thursday and she asked me to use till that time and do the home pregnancy test and come on Thursday for the check up she told me like this. I am worried about this can igo for blood test. I am depressed

You dont seem to be pregnant. Brown discharge is likely to be your periods.

I suggest you stop Duphaston now for getting normal periods.

No need of blood test.
