I am here to help you out.
Detailed Answer:
I warmly Welcome you Mr. XXXX!
Thanks for consulting me at virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
There are many causes of the pain in hips on walking.
It may be due to a decreased bone mineral density with the advancing age.
May be a consequence of low blood supply to the muscles of the hip joint, which on continuous walking of 200 feet becomes ischemic and pain of ischemia starts suddenly. you sit down and relax, muscle get the energy back from blood supply restoration and you are able to move along.
It seems something is compressing on the blood supply of the muscles , and it's not generalised anemia, otherwise you should have been feeling shortness of breath on walking as prominent feature of generalized anemia.
It may also be due to impingement of the nerve supply of the joint. May be some bony spur is there to cause irritation.
you need the complete metabolic profile and other baseline blood work. Go to the physician who will do all the blood work and will examine you physically. if needed he will refer you to the orthopaedic surgeon for consultation.
