Question: Hi doctor,

My baby boy is 5 months and 2 weeks. He had been active n making lotsa noises, kicking and playful. Yesterday after waking up in the morning , he felt "moody" became quieter and "good boy "

He still smiled when we played with him but the sudden change of mood is quiet drastic ... Feeding is fine ... Not irritable or crying ... Jux "depressed and moody"

Any suggestion ?

Brief Answer:
no problem

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Don't worry. This is not uncommon in babies at this age.
Change in mood and behaviour can happen normally in babies at this age.
If he is feeding well and not irritable or crying, there is no need to worry.
Keep a watch on his activities. Ensure he is passing urine and stools normally as usual.
Make sure he does not have any swelling or injury or bruise anywhere in his body.
If he develops any symptoms better to consult your pediatrician.
Wishing your baby good health

Hi dr,

Thks for ur reply.
I had uploaded some pictures of supplements off the shelves for babies.
I wonder if it would be good to add a little of these solution to my baby diet as he is starting solid food soon at 6 months .

Will it be a health booster?

Brief Answer:
yes you can

Detailed Answer:
Yes you can.
But don't give for more than a month.
Vitamin C is good but may not be as effective as vaccinations in boosting immunity.
Unnecessary vitamin supplements can be harmful to the body.
If your doctor has found some signs of vitamin deficiency then he might prescribe for a longer duration.
Otherwise use minimally.
Regards
