Question: Dear Dr, my mother is suffering from Mood swings, fatigue, Irritability, Headache, Stomach pain or discomfort, bloating, short of breath, Diarrhea, Nausea, dizziness, and vomiting, leg cramps, Sleep disturbance, Anxiety, mucus secretion in rectum (2 times). She is also suffering from kidney stones & got 2 surgeries done one for gall bladder removal & other for kidney stone. She just also was diagnosed with ovarian cyst this month. Doctors checking are asking for removing both ovaries and uterus. Is it pertinent to remove both ovaries. What is the cause of all other symptoms. I have attached all the reports.
Report also shows 30 wbc in urine & limit is 0-5. she is suffering from other symptoms being mild for last 2 years but had 2 severe attacks of these symptoms this year in short period of 3 months

Brief Answer:
endometrial biopsy required
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about your mother.
She seems to undergo blood tests to rule out anaemia as these symptoms are consistent with anaemia.
She also needs to undergo endometrial biopsy to see why there is increased endometrial thickness. She need not get uterus and ovaries removed as it is not necessary.
She can start on HRT to overcome mood swings.
WBC in urine are due to kidney stones which can be removed by minor surgery.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Regards,
Dr. Soumya.
