Question: Hello Doctor,

I am a 32 year old guy and a few days ago developed 2 ulcers on in my mouth near my lips and seem to feel a swelling and soreness under my jaw along with a mild fever and a general feeling of being tired.

Brief Answer:
ulcer in mouth for evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query.
In my opinion, it looks like viral fever where in mouth ulcers are common.
Other probable cause can be stress, vitamin deficiency, oral pathology, auto immune diseases, jagged teeth.
If I were your treating doctor would have empirically treated with paracetamol tablet +multivitamin+short course of oral steroids for a week. Would have prescribed triamicilone ointment for local application.
If symptoms persists would have asked for blood work to rule out the cause.
depending on the report would have treated with antibiotics if necessary.
All these are prescription medicines, so I would advise you to consult doctor and discuss my view with him.
Hope my answers have helped you . Thanks.
