Question: I have a movable bump on my right jaw line and it has turned red going into my cheek. It doesn't hurt unless I push on it. I plan to go into the doctors office soon, just don't know if I should go sooner than later. Wondering what your opinion is?
Brief Answer:
It looks like enlarged lymphnode.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, it looks like a Enlarged lymphnode. Redness is due to infection and associated inflammation.
Another possibility is Folliculitis, infection of hair follicle.
I prescribe Antibiotic like Clindamycin capsule along with anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
Nothing to worry.
It will come down.
You can wait till Monday.Till then, you can use the same medicines that you are using till now.
Hope I answered your query.
If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
