Question: I am having a clear mucus bowel movements. Just started and feels like gas and it's only small amounts at a time. What could this be?

I have carefully gone through your query and understand your concerns. You could have got an infection which could be bacterial or viral. The cause is not important and unless there is associated bloody stool, it does not require to be treated. All that requries treatment is the salt and water loss. You take to take plenty of fluids and ORS (oral rehydration solution). The bowel movements should be back to normal in 3-5 days irrespective of other interventions.
