What Causes Mucus In Stool And Lower Abdominal Pain?
Question: I AM GETTING A MUCUS LIKE STOOL SINCE 3 MONTHS. HEAVY LOWER ABDOMEN PAIN.ITS NOT SOLID AND IT HAS UNDIGESTED STONE MATERIALS IN IT.FEELS LIKE GOING TO BATHROOM FREQUENTLY.WITH HEAVY ABDOMEN PAIN
.. I HAD HISTORY OF IRREGULAR PERIODS AFTER TAKING A IPILL 3 MONTHS BACK.WAS THINKING IT WAS RELATED TO IT.

yes severe pain in abdomen.yes weight loss arround 2.5 kg in 2 weeks.

I will keep two possibilities in your case:
1. Inflammatory bowel disease like Ulcerative Colitis.
2. Malabsorption Syndrome.
You require colonoscopy.
I advise you to get following investigations done:
1. Hemogram with ESR
2. C Reactive Protein.
3. Colonoscopy with biopsy.
You can't take this lightly you have to undergo these tests.
You can contact your local doctor for workup
In case you live in XXXXXXX NCR XXXXXXX you can come to me.
In the mean time I advise you to take a combination of Ofloxacin and Ornidazole twice daily for 5 days. And also a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone once a day for 5 days.
