Currently, experiencing muscle pain... mid and upper back, under left shoulder.
Left arm nearly immobile, based on rotary cuff surgery 30 yrs ago.
Stiff neck, off and on for 4 weeks. Minor "lock jaw" condition for nearly one month. Dentist has asked her to wear mouth device... she refuses. Sleeps 9 to twelve hours a night, and 1 hour nap daily.

Thanks for your input. XXX, significant other, Jonesboro GA. 67 year old male, retired

Doctor: the back pain which started over four weeks ago has XXXXXXX subsided.
Immobile left arm continues. Her chiropractor has stated that if she does try to force some movement/exercise, she will all function - movement of arm.

Sorry for garbeled message... if she does not start exercising the arm, she will eventually lose all movement.

Thank you Dr. Bhavsar. excellent advice.
At some point, we probably will see the specialist
(if no improvement).

I can understand your concern.
Possibility of musculoskeletal pain and muscular stiffness is more.
So you should try following things.
1. Avoid movements causing pain. She can do gentle movements.
2. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
3. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
4. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
5. Start painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
6. Start upper limb physiotherapy with graded exercise.
She will mostly improve with these in 1 week, if not improving then consult orthopedic doctor.
