What Causes Myopathy?

Question: I have such difficulty rising from a sitting position. Severe muscle pain and joint pain. Using arms to raise my body. Move very slowly when finally on my feet. I take Mirapex for RLS, Celebrex for arthritis, HCTZ for fluid retention. I am 68, weigh 200 lbs and am 5'6" tall.

Hello,
I have studied your case. Most probably you are having proximal myopathy. It iw common with diuretics specially thiazide. Other causes can be Thyroid and Diabetes. So I would recommend you following.
1. Discuss with your doctor if you can change your Diuretics.
2.Get your thyroid and Diabetic status checked.
3. Calcium and B 12 is helpful in this.
4.Tablet carnisure one daily for 6 months.
