What Causes Nausea After Smoking Tobacco And Drinking Alcohol?
It is simple problem but need serious attempt to stop smoking and spirit
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
From the available description it is almost clear that there is known culprit for feeling nauseous. It is well known fact that Smoking, Spirit and Stress (3S) are the most common cause for gastritis and in your case there is potential involvement of two factors (Smoking and Spirit).
I do not think it is serious problem in current stage but if the Smoking and alcohol continued it could develop into chronic gastritis which is serious problem and may need long term treatment. If not managed properly there is risk of gastric perforation and internal bleeding which again are the serious problems.
I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
Thank you for the help this has cleared thigs up for me. I am going to proceed with no alcohol for the next few weeks and as little smoking as possible for the foreseeable future. I have also just finished my second year of university which could account for the stress factor. Should I be taking antacids or anything to support my healthierdiet? I used to drink acidic drinks like Coke Zero as if they were water which can't have helped so I am trying to cut back on those too.
Thank you
Antacids can be taken
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.
I am glad to know that you started making efforts by cutting down on smoking and reducing number of cigarettes. In the mean time there is no harm in taking antacids as it protects the stomach mucosa from more insult and damage.
I must make it clear that antacids will be required for first few days and once the measures to control gastritis employed properly, you can stop anacids.
I hope this helps you further.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
