What Causes Nausea And Chills While Wearing A Holter Monitor?
Question: My wife has been wearing a 24-hr heart monitor for the first time. She put it on yesterday at 10 AM. This morning she woke up nauseus and with chills. Could that have anything to do with the heart monitor? She is just about to take it off.

Holter is a machine which is attached externally to the body, as there is no disturbance with internal environment of her body.Nausea and chills can't be caused by it.
Though not asked yet, it can be due to Gastric infection or due to upper respiratory tract infection also.
Blood tests should be done like-
Complete blood count including Total leucocyte count
Pepto bismol can be taken for nausea till blood investigations are done.
