What Causes Nausea And Dizziness In The Morning?

lorazepam side effects.
Detailed Answer:
Hi madam, thanks for your query.
I probably feel your dizzy feeling is because of lorazepam tablets which you have just started.
Studies show that dizziness, nausea, vertigo attributes to 7% of the side effect of lorazepam tablet.
Apart from this, any inner ear problem( BPPV ) also can cause dizziness and nausea with change in head position/ laying down.
If I were your treating doctor I would have suggested you to stop the lorazepam tablet or reduce its dosage and see for 3 days . If dizziness persists , I would evaluate for inner ear problems and start you on cinnarizine and betahistine tablet along with vestibular rehab exercises.
Consult your treating doctor and discuss about my views.
Hope I have answered your query.
Pleased to help you further.

ear infections also can cause dizziness.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your follow up questions.
Middle ear and inner ear infections can cause dizziness. Antibiotics like penicillin, ciprofloxacin, piperacillin, amikacin etc are given to reduce infection along with labyrinthine sedatives.
However ear infection usually present with symptoms like ear pain, ear discharge , ear block, redu ced hearing.
Hence based on your description, I don't feel this is related to an infection. I would withdraw the lorazepam and watch the progress of your condition. If your symptom don't resolve say in the next few days to week, I would get you examined and investigated to exclude inner ear disturbances/infections.
At this moment, I will not be worried about infection.
Hope this helps.
Regards
