Question: I'm on a heavy period but have been experiencing light headedness, nausea and now my tongue is numb. Little concerned!

With your description and symptoms, it is essential to make sure you are not going into hypovolemic shock by getting your blood pressure checked immediately.

Please drink plenty of water, do not get up suddenly from sitting position.

Best to lie down and call for help.

Any sudden movements would cause blood pressure to drop and that might lead to fainting.

You should probably call 911 and visit an ER right away.

I wouldn't want to take risks in such a situation and since I have no way of assessing you, my advise is to call 911.
